You all get life points for attending but the person who brings the most friends gets double!
The Niabi zoo service project has been postponed, we are working to reschedule it for a later date. More info will be published when we know more.
I am proud to announce the launch of Illowa Council Venturing's new newsletter "Roaming News." We have all worked very hard on it and think it will be a great tool for communication in our council. Please check it out to get the low down on ILSC, Philmont, our upcoming service project, and much more.
What is ILSC? Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews is a fun filled day that will turn you into your crew’s next leaders. It is a great introduction to the edge method and basic leadership techniques. ILSC is appropriate for all ventures, but especially encouraged for new crew members. It is also a prereq for Kodiak Challenge. If you attend this course you are guaranteed to learn something new. If you want to take the course all you need to do is go to illowabsa.kintera.org/2013uos to sign up online or call the Service Center. The price goes from $12 to $25 on Tuesday the 22nd. Registration closes at the end of the month. Hurry up and register before its too late.
We are looking for pictures to add to the slideshow in the corner of this website as well as a photo album page. If you have any pics of your crew doing fun and interesting things please send them to me: email@example.com
There is going to be a Council VOA meeting this coming Sunday (13th) at Loud Thunder. The meeting starts at 2pm in either the Dining hall or Dunkin Lodge. Look for the VOA banner. We will be Setting up the maze for HALT as a service project for the camp and then celebrating our success with chili. Please bring gently used towels and washcloths to the meeting, we will be donating them to the Salvation Army. There will also be information on a service project we're talking about doing at Niabi Zoo.
The weather looks like it will be a touch on the chilly side so a light coat and gloves might be a good idea for when we are working outside.
If we get more youth at our meeting than the Order of the Arrow you all get +20 life points!
